We believe in a world where students get access to education regardless of their financial means.
Founded in 1995, S4Si is the oldest student-led non-profit at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We believe in the power of education to transform lives and communities and provide sustainable educational resources for exceptional students in the developing world. Currently, we fund 40 scholars in Zanzibar, Tanzania and select new scholars each year. As students at UNC-CH, we are so grateful for our own educational opportunities and so grateful to you for supporting us in our efforts to support our international peers.
Our Application for the 2016 Summer Delegation is LIVE!
Are you interested in international education? Development? Non-profits? If so, serve your international peers in Zanzibar, Tanzania this summer by developing the Students for Students International (S4Si) Scholarship program! S4Si is UNC's oldest student-run non-profit organization. Our mission is to create educational opportunities for high-achieving students in the developing world, and we believe that education is essential to community leadership and a country’s development. In order to achieve this mission, every year we select a small group of UNC students to interview and select a new class of scholars and work on the program at large with the scholars, mentors, and local NGOs in Zanzibar for 5 weeks or more between June and August. For more information on S4Si, please visit s4siunc.org or our Facebook page. To apply to serve on the delegation, please submit this application form by January 24. Thank you, and good luck!
